Bruce Springsteen stood for Govenor of New Jersey

A new poll has suggested that Bruce Springsteen romp home to victory, he stood for Govenor of New Jersey.

Public Policy Polling survey in the U.S. state's Republican incumbent Chris Christie, The Boss was put forward. Although the pair tied on 42 per cent of the vote, Springsteen came out with much higher favourability ratings.

Reporting the findings on its blog, Publicpolicypolling.blogspot.com, the pollster said it carried out the research "just for fun", adding: "Springsteen has favourability numbers any politician would die for."

Springsteen most recently political and Asbury Park Press newspaper in New Jersey wrote to Christie's to voice their views on budget cuts is known.

The Boss said, "The cuts are eating away at the lower edges of the middle class, not just those already classified as in poverty, and are likely to continue to get worse".
